Desde hace, alrededor de unos seis meses, un grupo autodenominado Estado Islámico (en adelante EI) aterroriza al mundo entero. Se trata de una organiza- ción terrorista que ha asombrado a la sociedad internacional por la brutalidad de sus acciones. Decapitaciones, violaciones o crucifixiones son sólo algunas de las técnicas que el EI utiliza para controlar territorios. Si bien es cierto que en un primer momento sus pretensiones territoriales se centraban en Irak y Siria, con el avance de los meses el EI ha redefinido sus objetivos hasta situarlos más allá del Éufrates y del Tigris. Hoy, los gobiernos del mundo miran con perplejidad y preocupación a este nuevo grupo que ha convertido a Al Qaeda en una amenaza menor. Muchas son las preguntas y pocas las respuestas. En este artículo vamos a tratar de arrojar algo de luz sobre un grupo que por su opacidad y virulencia hace temblar los cimientos de las sociedades occidentales y árabes. From around six months ago , an Islamic group calling itself the State (hereinafter EI) terrorizes the world. It is a terrorist organization that has shocked the international community by the brutality of their actions. Beheadings , rapes and crucifixions are just some of the techniques used to control the EI territories. While it is true that initially focused its territorial claims in Iraq and Syria , with the advancement of the EI months has redefined its goals to place them beyond the Euphrates and the Tigris . Today , governments around the world look with bewilderment and concern in this new group Al Qaeda has become less of a threat . Many questions and few answers . In this article we will try to shed some light on a group that by its opacity and virulence shakes the foundations of Western and Arab societies.
