This chapter examines Europe’s response to the challenges posed by the digital revolution and its impact on the world of work. It explores how digitalization and globalization are transforming economic structures, creating new forms of employment while also increasing precariousness and inequality. The author discusses the institutional limitations of the European Union in adapting quickly to these changes, as well as the growing public disaffection toward the European project. Several interconnected crises—economic, political, and legitimacy-related—are identified as key factors affecting the European model. The chapter concludes that Europe must strike a balance between technological innovation and social cohesion, strengthening public policies that ensure training, labor protection, and stability in an ever-evolving digital environment.

Resumen : .; This study aims to provide an analysis of trends and resistance dynamics of the growth and value investment&#xD;
strategies, particularly in terms of aggressiveness to market risk, using the market factor of beta. Current&#xD;
ARFIMA (p, d, q) models are analyzed to capture the idea of the fractional integration of these strategies and&#xD;
the beta coefficient of the same in Dow Jones, Nasdaq, S&amp;P 500, and the New York Stock Exchange. The findings&#xD;
suggest that there are substantial variations in the two strategies, with growth strategies being more prone to&#xD;
fluctuations and shocks in the market, whereas value strategies are strong and resilient. These differences are&#xD;
further supported by beta sensitivity analysis, where growth beta was found to be more risk-sensitive and&#xD;
value beta was found to carry a stabilizing influence, which would decrease return volatility over time

    <summary type="text">Título : Capital Expenditure Decisions in the Private Sector and Their Impact on Uk Stock Market Performance A Fractional Integration Analysis
Autor : Monge, Manuel; Aracil Jordá, Jorge; Infante Infante, Juan
Resumen : .; This paper examines the relationship between capital expenditures (CAPEX) in the private sector and the performance of the UK stock market, specifically focusing on the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors. Using quarterly CAPEX data for UK private sector firms and FTSE index data spanning from Q1 1997 to Q1 2024, we employ a robust methodological framework that integrates fractional integration analysis, Granger causality tests, and Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT). The findings reveal sector-specific dynamics. CAPEX in the non-manufacturing sector exhibits a significant positive causal relationship with FTSE index movements, particularly in short- and medium-term horizons, highlighting its role as a leading indicator of market performance. In contrast, CAPEX in the manufacturing sector demonstrates weaker and less immediate correlations, reflecting its long-term, structural nature and sensitivity to economic cycles. Persistence analysis confirms the long memory behavior of both CAPEX series, with non-manufacturing investments displaying higher stability and predictability. These results underscore the heterogeneity of CAPEX impacts across sectors and emphasize the importance of distinguishing between short-term and long-term investment responses when evaluating stock market dynamics.

El cuidado enfermero es esencial para reducir la incertidumbre y favorecer una atención integral y segura.; Main Objective: To analyze the experience of an oncology patient in the Radiology Unit of the San Juan de Dios del Aljarafe Hospital, identifying factors that affect her experience, the emotional impact of the procedure, and the role of nursing staff in perceived comfort. Methods: A case study with a qualitative approach was conducted. Data collection included direct observation and a semi-structured interview. The analysis was based on Kolcaba’s Theory of Comfort and Mishel’s Theory of Uncertainty. Main Results: The patient positively valued the warm interaction, staff introducing themselves by name, clear information, and respect for her privacy. These elements significantly reduced her anxiety. Dehumanizing factors were identified, such as the technical language of reports and the distress caused by waiting room screens. The nurse’s empathetic attitude was crucial to improving her overall experience. Main Conclusion: Humanization in Radiology directly enhances perceived care quality. Nursing care is essential to reducing uncertainty and promoting comprehensive, safe care.
