Por ello, el presente trabajo pretende analizar la importancia de los intérpretes en un entorno tan hostil y complejo como lo son los campos de refugiados. Cada vez es más necesario contar con profesionales capaces de actuar como mediadores culturales que den una oportunidad real a estas personas de empezar de cero. También se pretende enfatizar la importancia de la interpretación en los servicios públicos o comunitaria, a menudo la gran olvidada debido a la interpretación de conferencias. Al ser la interpretación una profesión sin colegiar, el intérprete se ve obligado a tomar decisiones, en determinadas ocasiones, basándose en su ética personal. Este trabajo recoge algunos ejemplos de códigos deontológicos de distintas asociaciones españolas e internacionales. Para estudiar la importancia de la ética en la interpretación en los campos de refugiados se han analizado cinco principios éticos (que se han considerado como universales en este trabajo): la competencia, la confidencialidad, la integridad, la fidelidad y la neutralidad. Por último, se ha distribuido un cuestionario anónimo entre intérpretes que han trabajado alguna vez en un campo de refugiados con el fin de conocer mejor las condiciones laborales de estas personas. Asimismo, el cuestionario cuenta con un bloque final que abarca la ética de la profesión: la importancia de los cinco principios éticos y una serie de casos hipotéticos.; Nowadays, globalization, migratory movements, cultural diversity and multilingualism are part of our society. For this reason, this paper aims to analyze the importance of interpreters in such a hostile and complex environment as refugee camps. It is increasingly necessary to have professionals capable of acting as cultural mediators who give these people a real opportunity to start from scratch. It also intends to emphasize the importance of public service or community interpreting, often forgotten due to conference interpreting. As interpreting is an unregistered profession, interpreters are sometimes forced to make decisions based on their personal ethics. This paper presents some examples of several codes of ethics of different Spanish and international associations. To study the importance of ethics while interpreting in refugee camps, five ethical principles have been analyzed (which have been considered universal in this work): competence, confidentiality, integrity, fidelity and accuracy. Finally, an anonymous questionnaire was distributed to interpreters who have worked in a refugee camp to gain a better understanding of their working conditions. In addition, the questionnaire includes a final section covering the ethics of the profession: the importance of the five ethical principles and a series of hypothetical cases. Autor : Millán Muñiz, Pelayo Resumen : Los intérpretes en zonas de conflicto han sido siempre dejados de lado y poco estudiados. Esta problemática no ha hecho más que acentuarse si el conflicto analizado es anterior a los Juicios de Nuremberg. El objetivo principal de este máster es analizar el papel que los intérpretes tuvieron a lo largo de la Guerra Civil española. En primer lugar se hará una introducción histórica sobre la Guerra Civil española y su marco histórico empezando primero por la situación del mundo para después ahonda en España. En segundo lugar se llevará a cabo una revisión bibliográfica de los intérpretes en la Guerra Civil española. También se hará una comparación entre los intérpretes que prestaron servicios para el bando republicano y para el bando sublevado. ¿Qué marcadores se utilizarán para llevar a cabo dicha comparación? Se van a utilizar los siguientes marcadores: tipo de interpretación, su importancia en el ejército, qué formación tenían, dónde ejercían, cuántos había, en qué estructura ejercían, de qué medios disponían, si percibían un mayor sueldo por ejercer en la guerra, qué otros roles desempeñaban, qué genero predominaba y finalmente si tenían algún beneficio o ventaja por trabajar de intérpretes. El fin de esta comparación es, en primer lugar, analizar las diferencias entre ambos bandos en cuanto a interpretación se refiere. En segundo lugar, tomar una perspectiva de futuro y ver si la disposición llevada a cabo durante la guerra marcó un precedente para el futuro de España en el marco de la interpretación en organismo internacionales, además de analizar qué fue de los intérpretes que trabajaron durante el conflicto.; Interpreters in conflict zones have always been neglected and little studied. This problem is only accentuated if the conflict analysed predates the Nuremberg Trials. The main aim of this master's degree is to analyse the role played by interpreters throughout the Spanish Civil War. Firstly, a historical introduction to the Spanish Civil War and its historical framework will be given, starting first with the situation in the world and then delving into Spain. Secondly, a bibliographical review of interpreters in the Spanish Civil War will be carried out. A comparison will also be made between the interpreters who worked for the Republican side and those who worked for the rebel side. What markers will be used to make this comparison? The following markers will be used: type of interpreting, their importance in the army, what training they had, where they worked, how many there were, what structure they worked in, what resources they had, whether they received a higher salary for working in the war, what other roles they performed, which gender predominated, and finally, whether they had any benefits or advantages for working as interpreters. The purpose of this comparison is, firstly, to analyse the differences between the two sides in terms of interpreting. Secondly, to take a future perspective and see whether the arrangements made during the war set a precedent for Spain's future in the field of interpreting in international organisations, as well as to analyse what became of the interpreters who worked during the conflict. Sin embargo, su labor excede la dimensión puramente lingüística. No solo permiten la comunicación entre dos partes que no hablan el mismo idioma; también son mediadores, consejeros, promotores de la paz, expertos en comunicación, etc. En definitiva, son profesionales polifacéticos que velan por que los actores internacionales apuesten por la diplomacia y el diálogo como vía para resolver conflictos y cerrar acuerdos internacionales decisivos. Ahora que sabemos quiénes son los intérpretes diplomáticos, cabe preguntarse qué se necesita para ser uno de ellos. Not only do they enable communication between two parties who do not speak the same language, but also they are mediators, counsellors, peace-builders, communication experts, etc. In short, they are multi-faceted professionals who ensure that international actors are committed to diplomacy and dialogue as a means of resolving conflicts and reaching decisive international agreements. Now that we know who diplomatic interpreters are, it is worth asking what it takes to be one. To answer this question, we will analyse diplomatic interpreting from the perspective of two variables: the tasks of the diplomatic interpreter and the specific challenges of this discipline. The variability of interpreting rates and the need for flexibility in their negotiation to adapt to market dynamics without compromising the interpreter’s economic fairness are discussed. The study also emphasizes the formation of work networks among interpreters to reduce agency dependency, increasing autonomy and improving working conditions.
