Acción Exterior de la Unión Europea y Japón

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata de analizar el desarrollo de las relaciones bilaterales entre la Unión Europea y Japón desde 1991 hasta la actualidad, así como el posible devenir de éstas. La razón de que el análisis se centre a partir del año 1991 es que previamente las relaciones se habían configurado como únicamente económicas. Para ello se ha realizado un estudio a través de los acuerdos y las cumbres que se han dado desde la Declaración de la Haya en 1991. Asimismo, se examinan una serie de documentos relativos a los dos acuerdos que se encuentran actualmente en negociación. Con todo ello se pretende hacer una aproximación a lo que podrían ser el devenir de las relaciones en el ámbito económico y el político, así como a la posible firma o no de los acuerdos en negociación.

The current study tries to analyze the development of the bilateral relations between the European Union and Japan from 1991 to current date, as well as the possible outcome of these. The reason behind carrying the analysis from 1991 is that previous relations were based exclusively on the economic aspect. In order to do this an analysis of the agreements and the summits since the Declaration of The Hague in 1991 is carried out. Likewise, an examination of some documents regarding the two agreements in current negotiation will be done. With this, the aim of this study is to make an approximation to the development of the economic and political relations, as well as the possibilities of the current agreements being signed.
