Proyecto educativo para el manejo del dolor al final de la vida en atención primaria

Abstract

Introducción: el cuidado al paciente al final de la vida trata de conseguir el mayor confort posible. Uno de los mayores inconvenientes para lograrlo es el dolor, una experiencia subjetiva desagradable. Y a pesar de ser propia de cada uno se trata de medir con escalas para objetivarla y buscar el mejor tratamiento posible, ya sea con fármacos o con otras medidas. Objetivo general: para evitar el dolor se necesita personal sanitario adecuadamente formado que pueda asistir a este tipo de paciente. Sus conocimientos deberían estar orientados en saber ver un paciente al final de la vida, usar escalas para valorar el dolor, administrar correctamente los medicamentos o cuidados apropiados y transmitirlos al cuidador. Metodología: este proyecto tiene como fin aumentar el conocimiento del personal de atención primaria a través de unas sesiones donde se expondrá teoría, se realizarán prácticas y se pedirá a sus participantes intervenir de forma activa para evitar el sufrimiento, principalmente por dolor, del paciente al final de su existencia. Implicaciones para la práctica enfermera: una vez cumplido con el proyecto el personal sanitario estará renovado de conocimientos para cuidar e instruir en el cuidado de este tipo de paciente en una situación tan delicada.

Introduction: the cares of end of life patient tries to get the greatest possible comfort. One of the biggest problems to get this is pain, an disagreeable subjective experience. It despites being typical of each one, we try to measuring with scales to objectify it and we look for the best possible treatment, with drugs or with other way. General objective: to avoid pain, it is necessary adequately trained health personnel are needed who can take care this type of patient. Their knowledge will be focused on knowing to recognize a patient at the end of life, using scales to evaluate pain, correctly administering medications or appropriate care, and transmitting them to the care provider. Methodology: the purpose of this project is to increase the knowledge of primary care staff through sessions where theory will be presented, practices will be carried and the participants will be asked to intervene to avoid suffering, mainly due to pain, of the patient at the end of life. Implications for nursing practice: when the project Will be complet, the health staff will have renewed knowledge to care and teach the care of this type of patient in such a delicate situation.
