La teología del siglo XX: once grandes figuras

Abstract

Con la mirada puesta en la teología del siglo XXI, esta obra revisita la teología del siglo XX a través de once figuras señeras de la teología ortodoxa, protestante y católica, pertenecientes al oriente y occidente cristiano: Pável Florenski, Romano Guardini, Paul Tillich, Erik Peterson, Henri de Lubac, Yves Congar, Karl Rahner, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Joseph Ratzinger, Adolphe Gesché y Wolfhart Pannenberg. El resultado es fruto de la reflexión llevada a cabo por un grupo de profesores del Departamento de Teología dogmática y fundamental de la Facultad de Teología de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas, bajo la convicción de que el quehacer teológico actual está llamado a desarrollarse como una herencia creativa, sabiendo aunar el gran movimiento renovador del siglo pasado con los problemas, las dificultades y las crisis que, arrastrados desde hace tiempo, han encontrado su cénit en los tiempos actuales.

With an eye to twenty-first-century theology, this work revisits twentieth-century theology through eleven leading figures of Orthodox, Protestant, and Catholic theology from both Eastern and Western Christianity: Pável Florenski, Romano Guardini, Paul Tillich, Erik Peterson, Henri de Lubac, Yves Congar, Karl Rahner, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Joseph Ratzinger, Adolphe Gesché, and Wolfhart Pannenberg. The result is the fruit of reflection carried out by a group of professors from the Department of Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology at the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical University of Comillas, grounded in the conviction that contemporary theological work is called to develop as a creative heritage, capable of bringing together the great renewal movement of the last century with the problems, difficulties, and crises that, long in the making, have reached their culmination in the present time.
