Como ayudar y educar a la adolescente embarazada

Abstract

Introducción: El embarazo en la adolescencia tiene un mayor riesgo para la madre y el feto, pudiendo presentar anemia, hipertensión gestacional y prematuridad, así como un aumento de la tasa de mortalidad y de sintomatología depresiva en la madre. Uno de los riesgos más destacables que existen en el embarazo en la adolescencia es la prevalencia de abortos clandestinos, en los cuales no se garantizan las medidas higiénico-sanitarias necesarias para la realización de este procedimiento. Objetivos: Sensibilizar a los adolescentes entre 12 y 19 años de edad, junto a sus padres acerca de la importancia de una buena educación sexual, los riesgos de un embarazo adolescente y los métodos para prevenir o saber cómo actuar frente a el mismo. Metodología: se desarrollara un proyecto educativo en el instituto Esclavas del Sagrado Corazón, Tivoli; con la colaboración de la Universidad Pontifica Comillas. Implicaciones para la práctica de la Enfermería: la formación y docencia tanto de los adolescentes como de las familias, para mejorar su calidad de vida y proporcionar la información necesaria en cada caso concreto.

Introduction: Teenage pregnancy has a greater risk both for the mother and the fetus, being able to present anemia, gestational hypertension and prematurity, as well as an increase of the mortality rate and maternal depressive symptomatology. One of the most remarkable risks that exist in teenage pregnancy is the prevalence of clandestine abortions, on which hygienic-sanitary action isn’t guaranteed for the fruition of the proceedment. Objectives: To raise awareness among adolescents between 12 and 19 years of age, together with their parents, about the importance of good sex education, the risks of teenage pregnancy and the methods to prevent or know how to deal with it. Methodology: an educational project will be developed at the Esclavas del Sagrado Corazón secondary school, Tivoli, with the collaboration of the Comillas Pontifical University. Implications for the Nursing care: Training and teaching both teenagers and families, for the improvement of their life quality and the supply of the adequate information in each concrete case.
