Santa María Magdalena de Pazzi: imagen y mística (450 años de su nacimiento 1566-2016)

Abstract

En el 2016 celebramos los 450 años del nacimiento de Santa María Magdalena de Pazzi (1566-1607). La carmelita florentina es una de las grandes figuras de la mística femenina del barroco, sin embargo, sigue siendo una gran desconocida en algunos ámbitos. Resulta paradójica esta situación, precisamente porque María Magdalena de Pazzi destacó por la comunicación de su experiencia mística (Se Dio è comunicativo ), que es atractiva e inspiradora en sí misma, y nos descubre todo un mundo de experiencias e interpretaciones. El libro que aquí presentamos se compone de un total de diez capítulos que hemos separado en tres bloques, atendiendo a su temática (vida, representación y mística), que trasladarán al público lector a momentos cruciales de la biografía de la carmelita, al modelo iconográfico de la Santa que trascendió en el arte, y por último, a desgranar un poco más la filigrana de su interior espiritual. Sin duda, esta obra ayudará a conocer mejor la vida y la doctrina de la santa carmelita con motivo de este 450º aniversario de su nacimiento.

In 2016 we celebrate the 450th anniversary of the birth of Santa Magdalena de Pazzi (1566-1607). Florentine Carmelite is one of the great figures of the feminine mystique of the Baroque, however, it remains largely unknown in some areas. This situation is paradoxical, precisely because Magdalena de Pazzi highlighted by the communication of his mystical experience (communicative and I was given ...), which is attractive and inspiring in itself, and reveals a world of experiences and interpretations. The book presented here consists of a total of ten chapters that have separated into three groups, according to their themes (life, representation and mystical), which move the reading public to crucial moments in the biography of the Carmelite, the iconographic model Holy transpired in the art, and finally, to reel off a little filigree spiritual interior. Undoubtedly, this work will help to better understand the life and doctrine of the holy Carmelite occasion of this 450th anniversary of his birth.
