"No apaguéis el Espíritu": dos evocaciones del Concilio

Abstract

Cuando han transcurrido cincuenta años de la celebración del Vaticano II (1962-1965), el Papa Francisco nos ha recordado que el mensaje de la misericordia está presente en la enseñanza del Concilio y en su espiritualidad samaritana. Este libro pretende analizar las líneas directrices de sus decisiones, siguiendo la máxima de S. Pablo: "¡No apaguéis el Espíritu!". Este estudio se divide en dos partes: la primera, reconstruye la historia del Concilio con la ayuda de las notas del obispo árabe N. Edelby; la segunda, traza el proceso de gestación de las constituciones Lumen gentium y Dei Verbum, al hilo del diario del obispo belga A. M. Charue.

At the time of the 50th anniversary of Vatican II, Pope Francis has reminderd us that the message of mercy is present in the pastoral and conciliar teaching and in its Samaritan spirituality. This book aims to analyze the gudelines of their decisions, true to the St. Paul's maxim: "Quench not the Spirit". This study is divided into two parts: the first, with the help of the notes of an Arab bishop, N. Edelby, reconstructs the history of Vatican II; the second, presents the genesis of Lumen gentium and Dei Verbum, following the conciliar diary of an Belgian bishop, A. M. Charue.
