Background: Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a very common injury among athletes. In addition, the risk of a recurrence, at the time of returning to sport is very high; therefore a correct strengthening of protective muscle of the knee is vital to prevent this from happening. There are different ways to strengthen the muscles of the knee and this study will be focused on finding what the optimal one is. Hypothesis: Performing plyometric exercises together with the usual treatment achieved a greater force increasing of eccentric exercises together with the usual treatment. Objectives: To know which empowerment technique is better to increase the quadriceps strength and to know if there are differences between men and women in this increase in muscle strength according to muscular contraction. Methodology: Randomized group of 113 subjects of the National HSystem from Madrid meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria will be chosen and the will be separated into two different groups. After 10 treatment sessions for groups A and B there will be a set of common warm up exercises, and proprioception, and then the A group will perform 10 drop vertical jump, and B group perform 10 squats on one leg. There will be 3 measurements in session’s number 1 and 10, in order to strength increasing in the injured leg using an isokinetic dynamometer. There will be a statistical analysis using SPSS with data collected during the sessions, also is planned to use the statistical tool T- student test to establish if there are differences or not.
