Adaptación y uso del formato TED a la enseñanza universitaria: diseño de clases presenciales y virtuales

Abstract

En este trabajo presentamos tres estudios de caso en los que la clase se articula en torno al formato TED. En el primer caso, nos centramos en el visionado de vídeos TED en la plataforma Moodle y en la clase, asociado a tareas de análisis y síntesis. En el segundo, el formato de las charlas TED se utiliza para que los propios alumnos construyan, expongan y graben sus presentaciones. Por último, las charlas TED se utilizan como material pedagógico para el aprendizaje de las competencias translativas avanzadas que requiere la interpretación simultánea del inglés al español. En los tres casos, el uso del formato TED como recurso didáctico promueve la creación de un clima favorable al aprendizaje mediante la motivación e implicación de los alumnos.

In this paper we present three case studies of courses that are designed to be articulated around the TED format. In the first case, we focus on the visualization of TED videos in the Moodle platform and in the classroom through analysis and synthesis assignments. In the second, the format of the TED talks is used so that the students themselves construct, expose and record their presentations. Finally, the TED talks are used as pedagogical material for the learning of the advanced translative competences that are required for the simultaneous interpretation of English speeches into Spanish. In all three cases, the use of the TED format as a didactic resource promotes the creation of a favorable climate for learning through the motivation and involvement of the students.
