Dividiendo la acción para agrupar culturas. Proyecto de innovación educativa en matemáticas

Abstract

En este proyecto se expondrá una propuesta innovadora relacionada con la didáctica de las matemáticas, concretamente con la didáctica de la división. Se trata de un método novedoso por el que podemos enseñar a nuestros alumnos a dividir con el fin de que comprendan el concepto de manera significativa y sean capaces de aplicarlo en las diferentes situaciones en las que este término se les puede presentar, es decir, que lleguen a generalizarlo. Se trata de un proyecto realizado con la metodología del aprendizaje-servicio, donde hemos tenido la oportunidad de aprender la manera de enseñar este concepto de manera significativa y manipulativa al mismo tiempo que ofrecemos un servicio a una comunidad en concreto. En este caso esta propuesta va dirigida a las escuelas rurales del occidente de Guatemala con el objetivo de ayudar a la mejora de la calidad educativa de estas escuelas. Para poder cumplir con el aspecto del servicio hemos estado en contacto con dos fundaciones encargadas de llevar los materiales a este contexto, así como de poner en marcha esta propuesta propiciando la formación pertinente a los profesores representantes de estas escuelas. A lo largo del trabajo se podrán ver una serie de teorías expuestas por varios autores y que hemos utilizado como base para la realización de este proyecto, consiguiendo así unificar la teoría con la práctica de modo que en las actividades se vea reflejado aquello que nos indican estos autores. Del mismo modo hemos utilizado el proyecto realizado en el curso 2016-2017 por los alumnos de 3o de Educación Primaria e Infantil de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas sobre el aprendizaje de la multiplicación, siendo este trabajo continuación de éste.

In this project an innovative proposal related to the didactics of mathematics will be presented, specifically with regard to the didactics of the division. It is an innovative method which will allow us to teach our students to divide so that they understand the concept in a meaningful way and that can be applied in the different situations in which this concept can be presented, that is, they will be able to play the concept in similar situations. It is a project carried out following the service-learning methodology, where we have had the opportunity to learn how to teach this concept in a meaningful and manipulative way, while offering a service to a specific community. In this case, the proposal was addressed to rural schools in western Guatemala with the aim of helping to improve the educational quality of these schools. To be able to comply with the aspect of the service, we have been in contact with the foundations responsible for carrying out the materials in this context, as well as putting this proposal into action, providing adequate training for the teachers of these schools. Throughout the project you can find a series of theories presented by several authors which we have used as a basis for the realization of this project, thus unifying the theory with practice so that the activities reflect what we have learned from these authors. This project is the continuation of the one carried out last year for students of third year of Primary and Infant Education of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas on the learning of multiplication.
