referimos a George Lindbeck, Kevin Vanhoozer y Paul Avis.
The thesis seeks to address the question of the relationship between Scripture and Tradition from the point of view of Anglo-Saxon analytic theologians: George Lindbeck, Kevin Vanhoozer and Paul Avis. The three of them refer to themselves as postliberales but their accents vary. Their post liberal approach to theology lead them to an understanding of this relationship which tries to overcome the liberal and the existential schemes. So they try to flee both from propositionalism as subjectivism. By approaching this question these three theologians tries to rethink the general framework of revelation and knowledge of truth from a postmodern and analytical context in which the theological foundationalism is rejected. This rejection is based in a very specific understanding of Barth's thought regarding natural theology. This way of thinking vary from the way that theology has been doing in continental Europe. This very fact makes their approach to the question a very interesting issue which could help to renew the studies about this very important theological question. |
