y post-tratamiento. Introduction: Plantar fasciitis it’s a pathology that affects to a total of the 11% and 15% of the population characterized by a precise pain situated on the inferomedial part of the heel. The usual treatment to treat this pathology, so many times turns out to be not very effective and, after the failure, it’s recommended submit to a surgical process. Lately, it’s applying a new modality of treatment, the extracorporeal shock waves an amelioration when the previous treatments don’t have success. Objectives: Asses the influence of treat the plantar fasciitis through the apply of the extracorporeal shock waves in the normal treatment of these. Methodology: Analytic study, experimental, longitudinal masked that assess the effectivity of the application of the extracorporeal shock waves in a sample with 308 diagnosed subjects of plantar fasciitis between 35 and 65 years. It will divide to the sample in an aleatory way in 2 groups: a control group to which it’s applies the normal treatment of physical therapy and a experimental group who applies the normal treatment of physical therapy and the extracorporeal shock waves application. The variables to evaluate; pain, functionality, range of motion and the thickness of the plantar fascia, it will be measured by a pressure algometer, digital goniometer, scale of Roles and Maudsley and ultrasound scan in 2 moments: pretreatment and post-treatment. |
