Aplicación de la tecnología blockchain al sector sanitario: plan de negocio de un start-up real.

Abstract

Actualmente, con el desarrollo de la tecnología blockchain, se abren infinidad de oportunidades de negocio. Este nos permitirá eliminar a terceros en transacciones y ayudar a mejorar en términos de seguridad y protección en el almacenamiento de los datos. Por ello, se considera que gracias a esta tecnología se van a experimentar numerosos cambios en diferentes actividades cotidianas, como pueden ser las transacciones monetarias, o el almacenamiento de información. Las oportunidades que esta tecnología presenta han despertado un especial interés por parte de la comunidad de emprendedores del Observatorio Fintech everis- Comillas, que este año participó en el concurso Comillas Emprende, en el que compitieron varios equipos que crearon start-ups basadas en tecnología blockchain. Tres compañeros universitarios y yo decidimos participar en el concurso, creando la start-up TotChain durante los seis meses de competición, estudiando cómo satisfacer la necesidad identificada de una manera eficiente y generando valor tanto para la empresa como para el cliente. El objetivo de este trabajo de fin de grado es presentar el modelo de negocio de TotChain, utilizando la metodología del Business Model Canvas. Concretamente, se explicará con mayor detalle la parte estratégica y la viabilidad económica en el medio y largo plazo.

Currently, with the development of blockchain technology, countless business opportunities open up. This will allow us to eliminate third parties in transactions and help to improve in terms of security and protection in the storage of data. Therefore, it is considered that thanks to this technology many changes will be experienced in different daily activities, such as monetary transactions, or the storage of information. The opportunities presented by this technology have aroused special interest on the part of the entrepreneur community of the Fintech Observatory everis- Comillas, which this year participated in the Comillas Emprende competition, in which several teams that created start-ups based on blockchain technology competed . Three university colleagues and I decided to participate in the contest, creating the TotChain start-up during the six months of competition, studying how to meet the identified need in an efficient manner and generating value for both the company and the client. The objective of this final degree project is to present the business model of TotChain, using the Business Model Canvas methodology. Specifically, the strategic part and the economic viability in the medium and long term will be explained in greater detail.
