Relaciones políticas y económicas entre China y África : estudio de sus rasgos distintivos e impacto internacional

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como principal objetivo el estudio de las relaciones entre China y África, que desde principios de siglo han aumentado en ámbitos muy diversos y no sin ciertas peculiaridades. En concreto, se investiga la institucionalización política y relación diplomática entre ambos, la balanza comercial, los flujos de inversión extranjera directa (IED) y la ayuda oficial al desarrollo (AOD). Se analizan sus rasgos distintivos para determinar si forma parte de una estrategia china más amplia y su posible impacto en el progreso africano. Como apartado esencial del análisis, se evalúa el efecto de este nexo relativamente reciente como nueva forma de cooperar con regiones en desarrollo. Siendo China una superpotencia económica con un ritmo de crecimiento sin precedentes y África un continente de gran potencial, clave para la balanza de poder del futuro, esta colaboración amistosa es de gran relevancia tanto para las regiones implicadas como internacionalmente. Se concluye con una serie de propuestas a tener en cuenta en la cooperación con los países de África.

The purpose of this work is the study of the relationship between China and Africa, which has been growing in various spheres since the beginning of the century with peculiar features. In particular, the study investigates the political institutionalization and diplomatic relationship between the two regions, the balance of trade, the flows of foreign direct investment (FDI) and the official development assistance (ODA). The special characteristics of these are studied to determine if it is part of a larger Chinese strategy and its possible impact on the progress of Africa. As a key element of the analysis, the effect of this relatively new nexus is evaluated as a new form of cooperation with developing regions. Being China an economic superpower that grows at an unprecedented scale and Africa a continent full of potential, this friendly collaboration is of extreme relevance both for the regions studied and internationally. Following a conclusion, the study proposes a series of recommendations to be taken into account when collaborating with African countries.
