Proyecto educativo "Educación sexual y reproductiva para jóvenes inmigrantes de procedencia latinoamericana"

Abstract

Una importante característica en la dinámica social en los inicios del siglo XXI es el fenómeno de los movimientos migratorios, el cual está modificando los espacios interculturales de buena parte de los países europeos y particularmente de España. Históricamente la inmigración ha tenido su origen en características laborales y económicas, desgraciadamente en la actualidad hay que añadir la provocada por conflictos como la guerra en Siria que está desplazando masivamente a una población que huye del horror. Estamos por tanto ante un fenómeno global que incrementa las necesidades ya existentes en educación, vivienda, servicios sociales, jurídicos o sanidad. Para poder realizar un correcto abordaje en salud con esta población, debemos ser conscientes de su realidad, sus necesidades y la mejor forma de poder cubrirlas. Entre otros, encontramos una necesidad fundamental de intervención en todo lo que refiere a la sexualidad y reproducción de la población más joven. Actualmente estamos ante un cambio de paradigma social en lo que a la manera de vivir la sexualidad de los jóvenes refiere. Estos cuentan con múltiples fuentes informales de información que muchas veces transmiten ideas erradas, discriminaciones y sexismos,que atentan contra un desarrollo sexual integral. Al tratarse de un tema todavía tabú por prejuicios y conservadurismos, muchas veces culturales, encontramos a los jóvenes desprotegidos y desconocedores; lo cual sumado al fenómeno migratorio crea un núcleo de población altamente vulnerable.

Despite immigration originally having work-related and economic characteristics, it is now a global phenomenon that brings with it the need for education, housing and social justice or health services. Unfortunately, nowadays we must add the one provoked by conflicts like the war in Syria, which is displacing massively to a population that flee from the horror. We are therefore faced with a global phenomenon that increases existing needs in education,housing, socialservices, legalor health.

To be able to carry out a correct approach to this community's wellbeing, we need to be conscious of their reality, their needs and the best way to cover these. Amongst others we can see the fundamental need to intervene in everything that refers to sexuality and reproduction. We now find ourselves in a moment of change in the way young people live out their sexuality. They have access to multiple sources of informal information that often spread false, discriminatory and sexist ideas that jeopardize their basic sexual development. Being a still controversia! topic due to prejudice and, often cultural conservatism, we find young people lacking both protection and knowledge, which combined with the current migratory phenomenon creates a nucleus with a completely vulnerable population.
