El neocontractualista por excelencia: John Rawls

Abstract

Las teorías clásicas del contrato social sentaron una base fundamental en el estudio de la formación de un Estado así como del nacimiento de los derechos y libertades de sus ciudadanos. Este clásico debate se trasladó a nuestra época de la mano de John Rawls, probablemente el filósofo más importante del siglo pasado. De esta manera, en este trabajo estudiaremos y analizaremos las obras de John Rawls para, así, lograr entender si es posible construir un sistema que integre el concepto de justicia social en la democracia actual. Además, a lo largo del análisis de la obra de Rawls, iremos introduciendo aquellas críticas de corrientes contrarias que le ayudarán a dar una mayor forma. Para finalizar, en el último apartado, realizaremos un análisis directo de dos de las críticas de Rawls más relevantes que encontramos.

The classic theories of the social contract were fundamental in the study of the formation of a State as well as the understanding of the birth of rights and freedoms of its citizens. This classic debate was transferred to our time by the hand of John Rawls, probably the most important philosopher of the last century. In this way, in this project we will study and analyse the works of John Rawls in order to understand if it is possible to build a system that integrates the concept of social justice in today's democracy. In addition, throughout the analysis of Rawls' work, we will introduce those criticals that, from contrary currents, has helped to give it shape. Finally, in the last section, we will carry out a direct analysis of two of the most relevant Rawls criticisms we found.
