De Proyecto Lenguaje a Proyecto Lennon Shepherd: cómo conseguimos pasar el estudio del lenguaje del aula a la sociedad real

Abstract

Para la asignatura de Pensamiento y lenguaje de 3º de Psicología y Criminología propuse la elaboración de un canal de YouTube divulgativo de información en el que los alumnos, divididos por grupos, elaborarían vídeos informativos al que denominamos Proyecto Lenguaje . Para ello contactamos con dos asociaciones, Asociación de Ayuda para la Afasia (AAA) y Centro de Referencia Estatal de Daño Cerebral (CEADAC), que vinieron al aula/visitamos el centro para que profesionales y pacientes expusieran sus necesidades. Los alumnos visitaron en dos ocasiones cada centro, una de ellas para familiarizarse con los entrevistados y conocer sus necesidades y una segunda para la elaboración del vídeo. Nuestro producto útil ha sido un canal de YouTube divulgativo y sabemos que hemos ofrecido un servicio de impacto a la sociedad porque el canal ha sumado más de 2.000 reproducciones en un mes de vida y hemos recibido comentarios/mails de personas interesadas. A modo de spin-off, uno de los grupos elaboró una guía de medidas que podrían llevarse a cabo en el Campus de la Universidad para que fuese accesible cognitivamente para personas con afasia. Esta guía consistía en una serie de medidas sobre cómo cambiar la cartelería del centro o cómo incluir nuevas pegatinas/uso de colores/figuras geométricas que permitiesen a una persona con afasia desplazarse por el centro y comprender las señales. Instancias superiores la consideraron de tal utilidad que fue transmitida a un arquitecto profesional para que las valorase.

For the subject "Thought and Language", undergraduates in their third course of Psychology and Criminology degrees and I proposed the elaboration of an informative YouTube channel in which the students, divided by groups, would elaborate informative videos. The channel was denominated "Proyecto Lenguaje". To do this, we contacted two associations, the Association for Help for Aphasia (AAA) and the State Reference Center for Brain Injury (CEADAC), who came to the classroom / visited the center so that professionals and patients could explain their needs. The students visited each center twice, one of them to get acquainted with the interviewees and to know their needs and a second one for the elaboration of the video. Our useful product was creating an informative YouTube channel. We know that we have offered an impact service to society because the channel has added more than 2,000 reproductions in a month of life and we have received comments / emails from interested people. As a spin-off, one of the groups elaborated a guide of measures that could be carried out in the Campus of the University so that it would be cognitively accessible for people with aphasia. This guide consisted of a series of measures on how to change the center's signage or how to include new stickers / use of colors / geometric figures that would allow a person with aphasia to move through the center and understand the signs. Higher instances considered it of such usefulness that it was transmitted to a professional architect for evaluation.
