De las nuevas tecnologías en el mundo globalizado al transhumanismo : dilemas para la identidad

Abstract

La globalización ha supuesto un cambio en el paradigma de la vida humana. Cabe destacar el papel fundamental de las nuevas tecnologías, ya que han supuesto un cambio, a su vez, en la forma de vida conocida hasta entonces y, consecuentemente, afectando a la identidad del ser humano. Diversos autores han escrito a cerca de la influencia de las nuevas tecnologías en ambos aspectos, siendo destacable el modelo explicativo de Kenneth J. Gergen (2018). La evolución y desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías está en auge en la actualidad, llegando a surgir el movimiento transhumanista, el cual apuesta por la posibilidad de estas tecnologías de superar las limitaciones humanas a las que nos enfrentamos actualmente, abriéndose con él un abanico de dilemas éticos, políticos y judiciales, en torno al cual está en juego, según algunos autores, el futuro de la especie humana.

Globalization caused a change in the paradigm of human life. It is crucial to highlight the role of new technologies as they have in turn brought a change in the way of life, and consequently, has influenced the identity of the human being. Several authors have written about the influence of new technologies on both aspects, highlighting the explanatory model of Kenneth J. Gergen (2018). The evolution and development of new technologies is on the rise and the transhumanist movement is emerging, which is committed to the possibility of these technologies to overcome the human limitations faced nowadays, opening with him a range of ethical, political and judicial dilemmas around which, according to some authors, the future of human being is a stake.
