Nuevas estrategias para la gestión de la calidad del servicio hospitalario : la decoración del entorno y los efectos de su implantación

Abstract

En medio del debate político entorno a la sonada insostenibilidad del Sistema Sanitario Español a futuro, los investigadores se ven obligados a reflexionar acerca del fundamento de las instituciones hospitalarias con miras a un mejor aprovechamiento de los recursos y una optimización en la gestión de los mismos. A través de este estudio, se persigue presentar la comprensión de la optimización de la calidad asistencial en el servicio sanitario mediante la modificación del aspecto físico y decoración de los centros sanitarios revisando la literatura existente y profundizando en las repercusiones que reportan dichos cambios.

In the middle of the political debate on the future unsustainability of the Sanitary National System in Spain, researchers feel the responsibility to rethink about the purpose and mission of hospital institutions in order to achieve a better use of the resources and an improvement on their management efficiency. This study is aimed at trying to understand the optimization of health welfare by changing the physical environment, going through the existing literature and analysing the effects that the above mentioned changes bring.
