Efectos de la digitalización en la dirección de la Operaciones. Impacto y nuevas tendencias

Abstract

En este estudio se indagará en cuáles son las técnicas Lean que se están aplicando a día de hoy, sus beneficios y cómo se llevan a cabo que se explicarán en el Caso Optima de Telefónica y el caso del Hospital de la Paz, en el sector servicios. Se indagará en la técnica productiva que implantó la empresa automotriz Toyota, cuyos matices se verán a lo largo de este estudio. El segundo será sobre la cadena de suministro, que como se explicará, es parte fundamental para el correcto funcionamiento de una empresa, sea productora de productos o servicios. Se estudiará cómo hacerla eficiente y en qué se caracteriza una cadena de suministro eficiente. Para finalizar con el segundo foco de estudio, se profundizará en cómo enfocar la metodología Lean a la cadena de suministro para así hacerla más eficiente y reducir costes.

En tercer lugar, se investigarán los efectos que tienen la automatización y la robotización en las empresas y la economía en general. Qué factores serán los que marquen el ritmo de esta automatización, como la viabilidad técnica, los costes de dicha implementación, las dinámicas del mercado laboral y la rentabilidad económica. Se mostrarán cuáles son las características que tendrán los puestos de trabajos en un futuro donde las máquinas acapararán gran cantidad de puestos de trabajo. Se expondrán las actividades que están amenazadas por la inclusión de máquinas en sectores donde todavía no se imagina que puedan llegar y cómo será el empleo en el futuro, donde se describirán las características de los nuevos puestos de trabajo.

Por último, se ahondará en el Ecommerce, donde se explicará este concepto y se indagará en los tipos que existen. Se explicarán también los cambios en la cadena de suministro en este tipo de negocio con respecto a los negocios que no operan a través de las plataformas online. Se indagará en un tema de suma actualidad como es el Machine Learning, donde se expondrán ideas que se han extraído de entrevistas con altos cargos de Amazon e Ebay, que han pedido que se mantengan sus nombres bajo suma confidencialidad, donde también se expondrá la manera de funcionar que tienen estas empresas.

This study will investigate which Lean techniques are currently being applied, their benefits and how they are carried out, which will be explained in the Optima Case of Telefónica and the case of the Hospital de la Paz, in the services sector. The productive technique implemented by the automotive company Toyota will be investigated, the nuances of which will be seen throughout this study. The second will be about the supply chain, which as will be explained, is a fundamental part for the proper functioning of a company, be it a producer of products or services. We will study how to make it efficient and what characterizes an efficient supply chain. To finish with the second focus of study, it will be deepened in how to approach the Lean methodology to the supply chain in order to make it more efficient and reduce costs.

Thirdly, the effects of automation and robotization on companies and the economy in general will be investigated. What factors will set the pace for this automation, such as technical feasibility, implementation costs, labour market dynamics and economic profitability. It will be shown which are the characteristics that the jobs will have in a future where the machines will monopolize a large number of jobs. The activities that are threatened by the inclusion of machines in sectors where it is not yet imagined that they will be able to arrive and how the employment will be in the future, where the characteristics of the new jobs will be described, will be exposed.

Finally, Ecommerce will be delved into, where this concept will be explained and the types that exist will be investigated. It will also explain the changes in the supply chain in this type of business with respect to businesses that do not operate through online platforms. It will be investigated in a very current topic such as Machine Learning, which will expose ideas that have been drawn from interviews with senior Amazon and Ebay, who have asked to keep their names under strict confidentiality, which will also expose the way these companies operate.
