El proceso de integración de las personas de origen migrante en el barrio de la Ventilla: sentimiento de pertenencia y de identificación de la segunda generación

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata de verificar cómo se caracteriza el proceso de integración-identitaria de las personas de origen migrantes residentes en el Barrio de la Ventilla (Almenara). Al tratarse de la integración de un colectivo en crecimiento constante tanto en la comunidad de Madrid como en el barrio de la Ventilla, y el origen de cuyos padres aporta una importante diversidad cultural, el presente trabajo se ha interesado en obtener información sobre su realidad estructural (escolar, laboral y familiar), social (interacciones e interrelaciones), cultural (manera de pensar, actuar, etc.) e identitaria con énfasis sobre esta última. Si los resultados indican un buen sentimiento de integración, no obstante, revelan un nivel de complejidad en cuanto al sentimiento de pertenencia e identificación con la sociedad española.

The present work tries to verify how the integration-identity process of the children of the migrant people resident in the neighborhood of “Ventilla (Almenadera)” is characterized. When dealing with the integration of a group in constant growth in the community of Madrid as in the neighborhood of “Ventilla”, and whose parents origin carries an important cultural diversity, the current paper has been interested in obtaining information about its structural reality (school, work and family), social (interactions and interrelationships), cultural (way of thinking, acting, etc.) and identity with emphasis on the latter. If the results indicate a good sense of integration, however, they reveal a complex level of feeling of belonging and identification towards Spanish society.
