Práctica sexual en el adulto mayor

Abstract

Introducción: La sexualidad en la vejez es un área de estudio poco conocida por la sociedad debido a la existencia de tabúes y el miedo al hablar del tema. Cuando hablamos de sexualidad nos referimos a una dimensión de la persona y no solo a la actitud del individuo ante el coito. Objetivos: El objetivos general de este estudio es determinar la conducta sexual en la población mayor de sesenta años de Madrid, en los años 2017/2018, para abordar la mejor compresión de la respuesta sexual en el adulto mayor. Metodología: El estudio se realizará en personas que residan en pisos tutelados por la comunidad de Madrid. En Torrejón de Ardoz. Contaremos con una población de noventa y seis personas a estudiar, elegidas de manera aleatoria simple. El diseño del trabajo será cuantitativo de naturaleza descriptiva dado que se pretende describir, analizar y representar las características existentes en el conjunto de datos obtenidos a partir de una muestra; tratando de comprender la situación real desde su propio entorno y vivencias personales, esta información será obtenida a partir de cuestionarios anónimos. Implicaciones para la práctica de la enfermería: Dentro del ámbito de la salud consideramos de gran importancia la sexualidad para mejorar la calidad de vida de nuestros más mayores y defendemos la creación de talleres educativos para poder erradicar las falsas creencias existentes; permitiendo al personal enfermero, conocer mejor este grupo poblacional, pudiendo adecuar los cuidados enfermeros según sus necesidades.

Introduction: The sexuality in the old age is an area of study little known by the society due to the existence of taboos and the fear on having spoken about the topic. When we speak about sexuality we refer to a dimension of the person and not only to the attitude of the individual before the coitus. Objectives: The targets general of this study is to determine the sexual conduct in the population older than sixty years of Madrid, in the years 2017/2018, to tackle the best compression of the sexual answer in the biggest adult. Methodology: The study will be carried out on people residing in apartments supervised by the community of Madrid. In Torrejón de Ardoz. We will have a population of ninety-six people to study, chosen in a simple random way. The design of the work will be quantitative of a descriptive nature since it is intended to describe, analyze and represent the existing characteristics in the set of data obtained from a sample; trying to understand the real situation from their own environment and personal experiences, this information will be obtained from anonymous questionnaires. Implications for the practice of nursing: Within the field of health it is regarded critical that sexuality improves the quality of life of our elders and we defend the creation of educational workshops to eradicate false beliefs; allowing the nursing staff to get to know this population group better, being able to adapt the nursing care according to their needs.
