Abstract

En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se analizarán determinados ETFs, se realizará una breve descripción de este tipo de instrumentos de gestión pasiva, se compararán con otros instrumentos y finalmente se representará de forma práctica la creación de una cartera de ETFs y se contrastará con otra cartera de Fondos de inversión similar también creada.

Tras una explicación y breve introducción de las características principales de este tipo de producto, llegaremos a una conclusión de las ventajas e inconvenientes que tienen. También cómo y dónde invertir en ETFs, debido a que dependiendo de la finalidad de la inversión será mejor invertir en un tipo u otro de ETF. Por otro lado, será interesante comentar como analizar ETFs, empezando por lo más importante, el subyacente al que está replicando, y el tipo de réplica que pueden tener. Después como objetivo de este trabajo se reflejarán las razones de porqué estos instrumentos son más favorables que otros, y en qué casos. Finalmente, con todo lo explicado y documentado de forma teórica en este Trabajo de fin de grado, se creará una cartera de ETFs, y otra de fondos de inversión. Se realizará una comparación entre ambas carteras y se llegará a la conclusión de si sería más conveniente invertir en ETFs para un inversor que en fondos de inversión en el ciclo económico en el que nos encontramos.

In this Final Degree Project, certain ETFs will be analyzed, a brief description of this type of passive management instruments will be made, they will be compared with other instruments and finally, the creation of a portfolio of ETFs will be represented in a practical way and will be contrasted with another portfolio of similar investment funds also created.

After an explanation and brief introduction of the main characteristics of this type of product, we will come to a conclusion of the advantages and disadvantages they have. Also how and where to invest in ETFs, because depending on the purpose of the investment it will be better to invest in one type or another of ETFs.

On the other hand, it will be interesting to comment on how to analyze ETFs, starting with the most important thing, the underlying one that you are replicating, and the type of replica that they can have. Later, as the objective of this work, the reasons why these instruments are more favorable than others, and in which cases, will be reflected. Finally, with everything explained and theoretically documented in this Final Degree Project, a portfolio of ETFs will be created, as well as a portfolio of investment funds. A comparison will be made between the two portfolios and it will be concluded whether it would be more convenient to invest in ETFs for an investor than in investment funds in the economic cycle in which we find ourselves.
