Apparty, una nueva forma de organizar eventos con la ayuda de la tecnología Blockhain

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es el desarrollo del modelo de negocio de APPARTY, una startup que pretende organizar eventos universitarios haciendo uso de la tecnología Blockchain. De esta forma, APPARTY pretende de un lado ayudar a planificar los eventos de los jóvenes estudiantes de Madrid al mismo tiempo que fomenta el aumento de clientes de empresas tales como restaurantes y otros locales de ocio. Este trabajo incluye una descripción detallada de la iniciativa al mismo tiempo que incluye también una descripción de la tecnología Blockchain, así como de sus ventajas. El éxito de la propuesta se encuentra íntimamente relacionado con la comprensión de los innumerables beneficios que la iniciativa pretende introducir en el sector de la organización de eventos. Para ello, este trabajo esta inspirado en las diferentes secciones del Business Model Canvas, incluyendo una explicación detallada de todos los aspectos que rodean al negocio, desde competidores, hasta proyecciones financieras, así como campañas de marketing. Ha sido también muy importante la participación en las actividades organizadas por la Unidad de Emprendores de la Universidad, así como la ayuda prestada por nuestro mentor. Por ello, el objetivo principal consiste en introducir al mercado una iniciativa que acerque esta tecnología a este sector al mismo tiempo que resuelve los problemas que se suelen dar en el proceso de planificación de eventos.

The purpose of this paper is to create a business plan for APPARTY, a startup that aims to organize a wide range of events making use of the Blockchain technology. Therefore, APPARTY pretends to provide services to students living in Madrid as well as to restaurants and similar companies that are willing to increase their number of clients. This project includes not only a detailed explanation of this initiative, but also describes the Blockchain technology paying special attention to its characteristics. The success of this idea is related to the knowledge of the wide range of benefits that the Blockchain technology can incorporate to the sector in which APPARTY will operate. In order to do so, each chapter of this paper is inspired in the different parts of the Business Model Canvas. It includes a detailed explanation of all the elements that needs to be taken into account ranging from competitors to financial projections and marketing strategy. It has also been very important the enrolment in the activities organised by this University as well as the help provided by our mentor. The main objective is to introduce to the sector the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of this technology at the same time that it solves the incidents that customers and companies may have when planning their events.
