Fecha de publicación :  9
Editorial : Proquest (University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Estados Unidos de América)
Resumen :
The Bahá'í Faith or Bahaism originated in the nineteenth-century Middle East and emerged out of Twelver Shiism. As this religious movement developed, it gained adherents outside the Middle East. In Spain, for example, it arrived in mid-twentieth century and gained more adherents. This book explores Baha'i cosmology, discusses Baha'i millennialism and millenarianism, analyzes conversion narratives, and delineates the coordinates of religious doxa. This dissertation hopes to bring to light and contribute to the literature that explores continuity within change on the one hand, and transfigurations as a mode of subjectivation, on the other hand, through the example of this particular religious movement.
