El resurgir de China y su dinámica competitiva con Estados Unidos: Análisis de un nuevo orden global

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado analiza el contexto internacional actual marcado por la creciente dinámica competitiva entre la República Popular de China y Estados Unidos. Se explica la evolución histórica del gigante asiático desde la instauración del Partido Comunista y cómo ha alcanzado una posición de superpotencia que inquieta sobremanera a EE. UU. Asimismo, se estudia el nuevo orden global pretendido por Pekín y su uso del Belt and Road Initiative para reformar las normas de juego vigentes. Finalmente, se presentan proyecciones sobre el nuevo contexto internacional y las consecuencias de la competición entre las dos superpotencias.

This Final Project studies the competitive context between the People’s Republic of China and the United States and its effect on the current international landscape. An analysis will be carried out of China’s historical trajectory since the establishment of the Communist Party and how its attainment of superpower status unsettles the U.S. In addition, the study will explain Beijing’s desired new world order and its use of the Belt and Road Initiative as the main tool for reform of the current international system. Finally, projections will be presented as pertains to the new international context and the consequences of the competitive dynamic between the two superpowers.
