EL JUEGO PATOLÓGICO: UNA ADICCIÓN OCULTA

Abstract

Con el presente trabajo se pretende analizar el trastorno del juego patológico y fomentar la sensibilización social del mismo, contribuyendo a la desaparición de la visión estigmatizada que impera en la sociedad actual. Para ello, se ha utilizado una metodología de corte cualitativo, habiendo realizado un análisis y una profunda revisión bibliográfica del trastorno en sí, llevando a cabo su conceptualización y contextualización y atendiendo a otras cuestiones relacionadas como las consecuencias que genera, la tipología, tanto de los juegos de azar como de los jugadores, los factores que predisponen la conducta, el perfil del ludópata, los criterios diagnósticos y la evaluación y, posteriormente, las modalidades existentes de prevención y tratamiento desarrollados con este colectivo. Tras la realización de este trabajo se puede concluir que falta mucha investigación e intervención con este colectivo, de igual manera, se debería potenciar más la figura del trabajador social.

This paper aims to analyze the pathological gambling disorder and promote its social awareness, contributing to the disappearance of the stigmatized vision that prevails in today's society. For this, a qualitative methodology has been used, having carried out an analysis and a thorough bibliographic review of the disorder itself, carrying out its conceptualization and contextualization and attending to other related issues such as the consequences it generates, the typology, both of the games of chance as of the players, the factors that predispose the behavior, the profile of the gambler, the diagnostic criteria and the evaluation and, later, the existing prevention and treatment modalities developed with this group. After carrying out this work, it can be concluded that much research and intervention are lacking with this group, in the same way, the figure of the social worker should be further promoted.
