Diversidad Funcional visual : un estudio desde la perspectiva de una futura maestra

Abstract

El siguiente documento recoge una revisión bibliográfica sobre la diversidad funcional visual desde la perspectiva de una futura maestra, que ha podido realizar una etapa de su formación docente en un aula con un alumno que presenta diversidad funcional visual. Esta experiencia ha permitido seleccionar a conciencia los puntos a abordar en este documento, por ello, se trata ampliamente la temática de la visión, reuniendo puntos clave como su mecanismo, clasificación y etiología y patologías oculares más frecuentes. Por otro lado, se trata la atención a la diversidad donde también se agrupan diversas temáticas como los antecedentes, la actualidad, la intervención educativa, orientaciones para el aula y recursos. Dicho apartado es una de las fortalezas de este trabajo ya que se persigue lograr la inclusión del alumnado con diversidad funcional visual en el contexto escolar. En suma, nos proponemos como principal objetivo entender en profundidad la diversidad funcional visual y en consecuencia las necesidades educativas que pueden presentar nuestros alumnos en las aulas, como base para conocer las mejores adaptaciones que les facilitarán el acceso al currículo. De esta manera otros docentes pueden tomar en consideración las pautas que aquí se exponen, para así atender de manera más eficaz las necesidades de los alumnos.

The following document contains a bibliographic review on visual functional diversity from the perspective of a future teacher, who has been able to carry out a stage of her teacher training in a classroom with a student who presents visual functional diversity. This experience has allowed the selection of the points to be dealt with in this document. Therefore, the subject of vision is dealt with extensively, bringing together key points such as its mechanism, classification and aetiology and the most frequent ocular pathologies. On the other hand, attention to diversity is dealt with, where various topics such as background, current events, educational intervention, classroom guidance and resources are also grouped together. This section is one of the strengths of this work since it aims to achieve the inclusion of students with visual functional diversity in the school context. In short, our main objective is to understand in depth the visual functional diversity and, consequently, the educational needs that our students may have in the classroom, as a basis to know the best adaptations that will facilitate their access to the curriculum. In this way, other teachers can take into consideration the guidelines set out here, in order to meet the needs of students more effectively.
