Humanización en la atención al paciente en el servicio de reanimación. Proyecto educativo dirigido al personal de enfermería

Abstract

La humanización de los cuidados es fruto de interés en el mundo sanitario. Pero los avances científicos y tecnológicos están provocando que la profesión enfermera cada vez sea más tecnificada, mecanizando las actividades, y corriendo el riesgo de disminuir la calidad asistencial. Es una evidencia la deshumanización del cuidado que se da en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos (UCIs). Los objetivos de este trabajo serán, sensibilizar al personal enfermero sobre la necesidad de recuperar el grado de humanización en los cuidados sobre el paciente en la unidad de reanimación y proponer una serie de cambios para que la humanización sea total. Para conseguir unos cuidados mas humanizados, el personal enfermero debe considerar a la familia como sujeto de cuidados, además de conocer los beneficios que supone flexibilizar el horario de visitas restrictivas que existe en este tipo de servicios. Es por esto por lo que sería necesario incrementar la formación del personal enfermero en cuanto a habilidades sociales y de comunicación, para favorecer la relación con los pacientes y familiares y poder así planificar cuidados personalizados e individualizados.

The humanization of care is a result of interest in the healthcare world. But scientific and technological advances are causing the nursing profession to become more technical, mechanizing activities, and at the risk of diminishing the quality of care. Is evidence of the dehumanization of the care given in the Intensive Care Units (ICUs). The objectives of this work would be to sensitize the nursing staff about the need to recover the degree of humanization in the care of the patient in the resuscitation unit and propose a series of changes so that the humanization is total. In order to achieve more humanized care, the nursing staff must consider the family as a subject of care, in addition to knowing the benefits of flexibilizing the schedule of restrictive visits that exist in this type of service. This is why it would be necessary to increase the training of the nursing staff in terms of social and communication skills, to favor the relationship with patients and family members and thus be able to plan personalized and individualized care.
