Desarrollo de buscador de documentos técnicos

Abstract

Dentro de la empresa Ennomotive se pretende desarrollar un sistema que permita a los usuarios buscar documentación técnica para los proyectos ofertados en la plataforma. Para ello es necesaria una aplicación web que permita recoger las valoraciones de un grupo limitado de usuarios. Para cumplir este objetivo se ha optado por implementar una metodología ágil que permita desarrollar prototipos de manera rápida e incremental. La aplicación consta de cuatro elementos. En primer lugar, existe una base de datos cuya tarea es recopilar y mantener la información generada por el sistema. Además, existe un frontend web que sirve como interfaz entre los usuarios y la aplicación. Por otro lado, existe un backend que sirve como intermediario entre el frontend y la base de datos. Adicionalmente, sirve para implementar funcionalidades de validación de usuarios y búsqueda de documentos en diferentes fuentes. Por último, existe un worker cuya finalidad es ejecutar un procesado exhaustivo para cada documento introducido al sistema. La totalidad del sistema está desplegado utilizando los servicios web de Amazon y el servicio Atlas de MongoDB. Para concluir, se ha conseguido desplegar un sistema que cumpla con los objetivos fundamentales. Sin embargo, presenta una serie de carencias que deben ser cubiertas en futuros trabajos.

An interest to develop a system that allows the users to search for technical documentation for the projects hosted in the platform has appeared in the company known as Ennomotive. In order to achieve this, a web app that is able to gather a limited group of users’ ratings is needed. To fulfill this goal, it has been decided to implement an agile methodoloy which allows to develop prototypes incrementally and quickly. The application consists on four different elements. First, a database has been built whose task is gathering and mantaining all the information generated by the system. Moreover, a frontend has been made that serves as an interface between the user and the application. Furthermore, there is a backend which isolates the database from the frontend. In addition, it provides with user-handling functionality and is in charge of searching for documents outside. Lastly, a worker was built in order to exhaustively process every document introduced into the environment. The totally of the system is hosted on Amazon Web Services, except for the database which is hosted using atlas. In conclusion, the main goals for the Project have been achieved. However, the product shows a few shortcomings that will need to be solved by future Works.
