Cuidados paliativos del paciente oncológico en Atención Primaria en medio rural

Abstract

El medio rural se ve afectado por los escasos recursos que se suministran a este tipo de población. Uno de estos recursos casi inexistente es la ayuda domiciliaria especializada en el cuidado del paciente oncológico terminal. Dada esta situación, en el presente trabajo, se pretende abarcar mediante un estudio de caso, todas las necesidades de los pacientes que estén presentes al término de su vida así como dar respuesta a estas mediante la universalización del lenguaje enfermero. Con ello conseguiremos facilitar y minimizar el tiempo de respuesta por parte del personal enfermero. Además, se persigue el alivio de todo sufrimiento por parte del paciente y la mayor calidad de vida que la enfermería le pueda otorgar. Ya que el paciente rural es distinto al paciente urbano es necesario modificar las intervenciones enfermeras para asegurarnos de que el paciente es atendido de una manera integral y satisfactoria. La esencia de la enfermería comunitaria es su cuidado. Por ello, ese cuidado debe ser estudiado para adaptarse lo máximo posible al paciente rural. El presente estudio abre la puerta para ese cuidado especializado y para resaltar la importancia de los pacientes rurales ya que estos se ven obligados a prescindir de cuidados por la distancia con respecto a su centro de salud.

The essence of community nursing is the care. Therefore, that care should be studied to adapt as possible to the rural patient. This study opens the door for that specialty care and to highlight the importance of rural patients because they are forced to do without care by the distance to the health center.
