El estado de bienestar : viabilidad del sistema de pensiones español

Abstract

El Sistema público de Pensiones es uno de los pilares básicos sobre los que se asienta el Estado del Bienestar. Sin embargo, los cambios sufridos por la sociedad española desde la constitución inicial de dicho sistema, así como la coyuntura económica actual, provocan dudas sobre su viabilidad en el medio plazo. En este trabajo se realiza un estudio del Sistema de Pensiones, analizando y describiendo su evolución y centrándonos en la última reforma que ha sufrido el mismo (Ley 27/2011, de 1 de agosto), señalando los cambios ya decretados sobre este último modelo implantado para, finalmente, concluir acerca del futuro que, en base al análisis realizado, pronosticamos para el sistema. Se sugieren, por último, ciertas recomendaciones que podrían contribuir a garantizar su sostenibilidad.

The public Pension System is one of the pillars on which the state’s welfare rests upon. However, the afflicted changes to Spanish society from the moment that the system was projected, as well as the actual economic conjuncture, have made its viability of the medium term a central theme. This research paper studies the Pension System, participating in a run-through of its evolution and then focusing on the far-reaching changes of the last reform (Law 27/2011, August 1st) and how it signaled the decreed changes on this final implanted model and finally be able to conclude about the future that, in light of the completed analysis, is predicted for the system. We also suggest certain recommendations that could contribute towards guarantees of its sustainability.
