Economía Colaborativa: La brecha entre las aspiraciones y el desarrollo posterior del modelo

Abstract

En este trabajo se analizará la evolución de la economía colaborativa, estudiando las aspiraciones iniciales que este modelo presentaba, y de qué manera estas se han ido transformando. Para ello, examinaremos el concepto de Economía Colaborativa, su desarrollo y los elementos esenciales para su funcionamiento. Dentro de estos elementos principales también se estudiarán sus ámbitos negativos, y las cuestiones regulatorias que comprometen directamente el funcionamiento del modelo en España. Una vez analizados sus conceptos principales, y determinados sus propósitos originales, examinaremos qué efectos conflictivos ha tenido este fenómeno en los entornos en los que se ha llevado a cabo, en especial en lo referente a la sostenibilidad y a la gentrificación. Finalmente, se expondrán dos opciones alternativas que demuestran que los beneficios inicialmente presentados por la Economía Colaborativa se podrían alcanzar sin impedir el desarrollo de los modelos, defendiendo la posibilidad de que ambos factores pueden coexistir, sin ocasionar externalidades negativas.

This paper will analyze the evolution of Sharing Economy, studying the initial aspirations that this model presented, and how these have been transformed. In order to do so, we will examine the concept of Sharing Economy, its development, and the essential elements for it to work. Within these main elements will also be studied its negative areas and regulatory issues that directly compromise the operation of the model in Spain. Once we have analyzed its main concepts and determined its original purposes, we will examine what conflicting effects this phenomenon has had on the environments in which it has been carried out, especially in relation to sustainability and gentrification. Finally, two alternative options will be presented that demonstrate that the benefits initially presented by the Sharing Economy could be fulfilled without hindering the development of the models, defending the possibility that both factors can coexist, without causing negative externalities.
