Procesos cognitivos y psicofisiológicos en hijos de padres con dependencia del alcohol

Abstract

El síndrome de dependencia alcohólica es una de las adicciones más extendida a nivel global, que implica una serie de consecuencias, no únicamente para el propio individuo, sino también para aquellos que le rodean a nivel físico, psíquico y social. El siguiente trabajo trata de señalar la influencia que puede tener esta adicción en la dinámica familiar disfuncional y consecuentemente, en la vida emocional de los integrantes más vulnerables, los hijos. Además, el presente trabajo tratará de identificar en la literatura científica algunos programas de intervención que aborden estos aspectos y la resiliencia como recurso principal de los menores. Para ello, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica que guía el contenido de este trabajo, para posteriormente llevar a una discusión y revisión teórica sobre la temática expuesta y los programas de intervención existentes. El objetivo que se persigue es el conocimiento de las variables relacionadas con el ambiente familiar y la vida emocional de los hijos de dependientes al alcohol para aportar más luz sobre los posibles factores de riesgo y/o protección implicados en la salud y bienestar de los infantes y adolescentes, para de esta forma poder intervenir de forma temprana y potenciar un mejor desarrollo, sobre todo en el ámbito de la salud mental. Se concluye, que efectivamente estas situaciones afectan al psiquismo infantil, afectando de forma negativa en su desarrollo como en su formación, destacando sobre todo el mayor riesgo a sufrir abusos emocionales, físicos y sexuales. Se encontraron intervenciones dirigidas al bienestar de los hijos y miembros familiares con este tipo de problemática con resultados positivos.

Alcohol dependence syndrome is one of the most widespread addictions worldwide, involving a series of consequences, not only for the individual himself, but also for those around him on a physical, psychological and social level. The following work tries to point out the influence that this addiction can have on the dysfunctional family dynamics and consequently, on the emotional life of the most vulnerable members, the children. In addition, this paper will try to identify in the scientific literature some intervention programs that address these aspects and resilience as the main resource of the children. For this purpose, a bibliographic review was carried out to guide the content of this work, to later lead to a discussion and theoretical review on the exposed subject and the existing intervention programs. The objective pursued is the knowledge of the variables related to the family environment and the emotional life of the children of alcohol dependents to shed more light on the possible risk and/or protection factors involved in the health and welfare of children and adolescents, in order to intervene early and promote better development, especially in the field of mental health. It is concluded that these situations do indeed affect the child psyche, negatively affecting their development as well as their education, especially highlighting the increased risk of suffering emotional, physical and sexual abuse. Interventions aimed at the welfare of children and family members with this type of problem were found with positive results.
