Abstract

Proponer hoy el modo de hacer una sana y buena elección que nos ofrece san Ignacio de Loyola en sus Ejercicios Espirituales implica tener una mirada comprometida, profunda, abierta y creativa sobre la cultura contemporánea.

La adaptación del método y la búsqueda de maneras acertadas para discernir implica: la necesidad de conocer a fondo la historia y acentos de la propuesta ignaciana; preguntarnos cómo Ignacio de Loyola y los primeros jesuitas aplicaron este método; escudriñar las luces y desafíos de la cultura contemporánea con ayuda de la sociología, la filosofía y la espiritualidad; y, finalmente, proponer algunos acentos pastorales que colaboren con la búsqueda de la voluntad de Dios hoy.

The adaptation of the method and the search for appropriate ways to discern implies: the need to know in depth the history and accents of the Ignatian proposal; to ask ourselves how Ignatius of Loyola and the first Jesuits applied this method; to scrutinize the lights and challenges of contemporary culture with the help of sociology, philosophy, and spirituality; and, finally, to propose some pastoral accents that will collaborate with the search for God's will today.
