El plan lector como herramienta para mejorar el aprendizaje de alumnos en riesgo de exclusión social

Abstract

A lo largo de este trabajo se propone un plan lector que incluya libros y actividades que puedan ser útiles para mejorar el aprendizaje de niños en riesgo de exclusión social. El trabajo está basado en investigaciones que indican que los niños que se encuentran en esta situación suelen presentar índices más altos de dificultades académicas. Por ello, este documento aporta recursos y actividades para poder ayudar a este grupo de alumnos. Para llevar esto a cabo se utilizarán diferentes técnicas; la interdisciplinariedad es una de ellas. El plan lector es una herramienta que permite abordar esta interdisciplinariedad, con el objetivo específico de ayudar a niños en riesgo de exclusión social y, por ello es la forma elegida para trabajar. Las actividades propuestas en el plan lector trabajan aspectos desde la lectoescritura, pasando por la lógica matemática, hasta conceptos relacionados con las ciencias naturales y sociales. La diversidad en dichas actividades permite que los alumnos estén más motivados y tengan un mayor interés por aprender. Además, la manipulación de materiales permite un aprendizaje más directo para el niño. La evaluación de esta propuesta se basaría en la observación de los alumnos antes de su planteamiento en el aula, durante su implementación y al finalizarla. De esta manera se podrá ir afinando la propuesta para ayudar, a través de la lectura, a mejorar la educación de los niños en riesgo de exclusión social.

Throughout this work a reader plan is propose, that includes activities and books that could be useful to improve the learning of kids in risk of social exclusion. The research is based on theories which expose that kids in these situations usually have more academic problems. Because of that, this document contributes with material resources and activities to help this group of students. Different techniques will be used to approach this, the interdisciplinary is one of them. The reader plan is a tool which enables the interdisciplinary approach, with the objective of helping kids in risk of social exclusion and thus the chosen way to work. The activities that are included in the reader plan work on aspects that range from the literacy and the mathematical logic to concepts related to the natural and social sciences. The diversity in the activities enable students to be motivated and to have interest in learning new things. The evaluation of these proposals is based on the observation of the students by the teacher, before, during and after it. In this way, the proposal can be improved and modified to improve the education of children at risk of social exclusion through reading.
