Inclusión de la técnica de compresión isquémica sobre la musculatura cervical en mujeres con cefalea tensional crónica

Abstract

Objetivo. Valorar la efectividad de inclusión de la técnica de compresión isquémica sobre los PGM de la región cervical al tratamiento convencional en mujeres de entre 30 y 50 años de edad con cefalea tensional crónica Metodología. El estudio diseñado ha sido analítico, experimental, longitudinal, prospectivo y aleatorio. Los sujetos del estudio han sido divididos en dos grupos de forma aleatoria, 7 sujetos pertenecen al grupo control, este grupo sólo recibe el tratamiento convencional y otros 7 sujetos pertenecen al grupo experimental, este grupo además de recibir el tratamiento convencional recibe la técnica de compresión isquémica para el abordaje de los PGM de la región cervical. Las variables que se miden en este estudio son calidad de vida y umbral de dolor a la presión. Para medir la calidad de vida, se emplea el cuestionario de discapacidad HDI, mientras que, para medir el umbral de dolor a la presión, se emplea el algómetro analógico de Fischer. Se llevan a cabo dos mediciones, una pretratamiento y otra postratamiento

Background. Inclusion of the ischemic compression technique on cervical musculature in women with chronic tension headache. Objective. The objective of this study is to assess the effectiveness of inclusion of the ischemic compression technique on the PGM of the cervical region to conventional treatment in women between 30 and 50 years of age with chronic tension headache. Methology. The designed study has been analytical, experimental, longitudinal, prospective and randomized. The study subjects have been randomly divided in two groups, 7 subjects belong to the control group, this group only receives the conventional treatment and another 7 subjects belong to the experimental group, this group in addition to receiving the conventional treatment receive the compression technique ischemic for the approach of the PGM of the cervical region. The variables measured in this study are quality of life and pressure pain threshold. To measure quality of life, the HDI disability questionnaire is used, while to measure the pressure pain threshold, the Fischer analog algometer is used. Two measurements are carried out, one pretreatment and another posttreatment.
