Proyecto educativo: Una visión holística de la Mutilación Genital Femenina

Abstract

La Mutilación Genital Femenina (MGF) es un procedimiento ancestral con un gran peso sociocultural que cada año vulnera los DDHH de más de 3 millones de niñas, que pese a la creencia popular de que es una práctica únicamente del continente africano, la gran ola de inmigración de estos últimos años ha hecho de ella, una cuestión global. Este trabajo, es el resultado de una exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica sobre la MGF que engloba, de manera integral, todos los aspectos psicosociales, culturales y sexuales de la MGF ofreciendo así, una panorámica crítica que permite entender la MGF en toda su totalidad. Por eso, el objetivo principal de este proyecto educativo es dar a conocer y concienciar a la población del problema que es la MGF, así como empoderar a las niñas que están en riesgo de sufrirlo, creando un ambiente respetuoso y de confianza, donde con argumentos firmes, se desmonten las falsas creencias que hay sobre la MGF, para así, lograr la prevención y erradicación de esta atroz violación de los DDHH.

The Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is an ancestral procedure with a big sociocultural influence that every year violates the Human Rights of more than 3 million of girls that despite of the general belief that is only an African practice, the huge wave of immigration this last years have made of this practice a global issue. This work is the result of an exhaustive bibliographic review on FGM that encompasses, in a complete way, all the psychosocial, cultural, and sexual aspects of FGM offering thus, a critical overview that allows to understand FGM in its entirety. Because of that, the main aim of this educative project is to make public the huge problem of the FGM, raise the awareness of the population as well as empower the girls who are in risk of this procedure, by creating a respectful and trustworthy environment, where with solids arguments the false belief of the FGM will be dismantled in order to achieve the prevention and eradication of this unbearable violation of human rights.
