Marruecos y España: diferencias de comunicación

Abstract

En un contexto de creciente globalización, en el que el movimiento y la mezcla cultural son, cada vez más, la norma, se hace necesario un enfoque constructivo en la comunicación entre distintas culturas. En esta línea, este trabajo describe los rasgos principales de la comunicación marroquí y analiza las diferencias entre esta y la relativa a la cultura española. A través de la observación participativa, el desarrollo de entrevistas y una revisión bibliográfica basada especialmente en las teorías de Edward T. Hall, William B. Gudykunst, Stella Ting-Toomey, Ronald F. Inglehart y Geert Hofstede se alcanzan conclusiones que revelan la existencia de diferencias de comunicación. No obstante, se encuentran también claras similitudes que permiten una comunicación fluida entre ambas culturas.

In a context of increasing globalization, in which movement and cultural mix are becoming more and more the norm, a constructive approach to communication between different cultures is necessary. In this line, this paper describes the main features of Moroccan communication and analyzes the differences it presents from the Spanish communication. Through participatory observation, the development of interviews and a bibliographical review based especially on the theories of Edward T. Hall, William B. Gudykunst, Stella Ting-Toomey, Ronald F. Inglehart and Geert Hofstede, conclusions are reached that reveal the existence of communication differences. However, clear similarities are also found that allow for smooth communication between the two cultures.
