Proyecto educativo para mujeres y sus parejas en tratamientos de fertilidad

Abstract

La reproducción asistida es un ámbito sanitario que lleva muy pocos años en vigor. Sin embargo, es uno de los temas sanitarios para parejas jóvenes más relevantes. Esto es debido al retraso en la edad de paternidad. En este ámbito la enfermería aún tiene una gran capacidad de expansión. Sobre todo hacia el rol docente y hacia la atención integral de estos pacientes ambulatorios. A nivel sociosanitario es de gran importancia el cuidado de la esfera emocional en estos pacientes. Por ello, el objetivo principal de este trabajo ha sido elaborar un proyecto educativo que permita mejorar la vivencia de los procesos de reproducción asistida. A través de él se dota a los pacientes de los conocimientos básicos necesarios acerca de las diferentes técnicas, sus particularidades y de los mecanismos necesarios para el afrontamiento de los sentimientos negativos que puedan surgir a consecuencia de estos tratamientos o sus tiempos de espera.

Assisted reproduction is a health area that has only been in existence for a few years. However, it is one of the most relevant health issues for young couples. This is due to the delay in the age of paternity. In this area, nursing still has a great capacity for expansion. Above all towards the teaching role and the integral care of these outpatients. At a social-healthcare level, the care of the emotional sphere in these patients is of great importance. Therefore, the main objective of this work has been to develop an educational project to improve the experience of assisted reproduction processes. Through it, patients are provided with the necessary basic knowledge about the different techniques, their particularities and the mechanisms needed to face the negative feelings that may arise as a result of these treatments or their waiting times.
