“SIMAD” una aplicación para el aumento de la adherencia terapéutica en niños con síndrome metabólico

Abstract

La obesidad central y la aparición de alteraciones como las que reúne el síndrome metabólico se están haciendo cada vez más evidentes en los pacientes pediátricos. Debido a esto, se ha visto necesaria la búsqueda de nuevas formas de tratamiento como puede ser el uso de las TICs, herramientas muy presentes hoy en día en nuestra sociedad y que funcionan como un instrumento de ayuda fundamental. El objetivo de este estudio es determinar la eficacia de una aplicación móvil para la ayuda en el tratamiento de niños con síndrome metabólico (con la mejora de sus criterios diagnósticos) y aumentar su motivación hacia la adopción de hábitos saludables. Se realizará un estudio de tipo cuasiexperimental sobre una muestra intencional de niños entre 10 y 13 años en las consultas de pediatría del centro de salud de Campohermoso (Humanes), usando un diseño pretest postest para una misma muestra de todas las variables recogidas de todos aquellos pacientes que cumplan los criterios de inclusión establecidos. Este estudio será realizado por las enfermeras de la consulta de pediatría, siendo estas el gran eje de la intervención y seguimiento de los sujetos pudiendo ser de gran implicación en la práctica de la enfermería por el uso de estas herramientas de ayuda en el tratamiento.

The central obesity and the appearance of disorders such as the metabolic syndrome, are becoming more and more evident in pediatric patients. Because of this, it has been necessary the search of new ways of treatment how can be the use of ICTs, tools very present nowadays in our society and that have been a fundamental aid instrument. The aim of this study is to determine the efficacy of a mobile app, for help in the treatment of children with metabolic syndrome (with the improving of their diagnostic criteria) and to increase their motivation for adopting healthy habits. A quaxi-experimental study will be carried out on a intentional sample of children between 10 and 13 in the paediatrics appointment of Campohermoso health center (Humanes), using a pretest-posttest design for the same sample of all the variables that have collected to all of patients who achieve the established inclusion criterion. This study will be made by the nurses in the paediatrics appointment, being these the main axis of the intervention and the follow of the subjects and may be a huge implication in the nurse practice because the use of that helping tools in the treatment.
