El cambio climático, el incremento de la temperatura global y las altas emisiones de carbono a la atmósferaestán ejerciendo presión a nivel internacional para tratar de frenar estos sucesos.Cada vez son más los países que forman parte de los acuerdos internacionales que buscan el compromiso de los gobiernos para adoptar políticas verdes que fomenten el desarrollo sostenible y que impulsen la transición energética. Para lograr esto, es necesario fomentar la inversión enlatecnología einfraestructura necesariapara lograr la transición energética deseada y acordada.Por tanto, aquellas empresas que busquen liderar la transición energética van a recibir grandes flujos de capitales en forma de inversión, y van a ser muchas las gestoras de fondos las que busquen aprovechar el potencial de la temática para configurarcarteras de inversión condichas empresas. El fondo BNP Paribas Energy Transition es líder en esta categoría y experimentó una revalorización histórica en 2020 del 165%. Este trabajo tiene el objetivo de analizarlas necesidades de financiacióndel sector, y justificar la revalorización del fondo de la gestora BNP Paribas.
