Violencia Económica sobre mujeres mayores de 65 años

Abstract

La violencia de género es un fenómeno con el que convive esta sociedad pero que, aunque si es de lo que más información tenemos, no solo se reduce a violencia física; existen más tipos de violencia contra la mujer. Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado tiene por objetivo analizar una de esas variantes, concretamente, la violencia económica, centrándonos en el sector de mujeres mayores de 65 años que sufren la violencia de una manera diferente a las demás debido al entorno en el que crecieron, las ideas que se les inculcaron y como ha ido evolucionando el nivel de violencia al que se han visto sometidas a lo largo de su vida, así como la manera en que la pueden afrontar. Para realizar este análisis, abordamos primero temas clave como el significado del concepto “violencia de género” o la violencia sobre mujeres mayores para entrar posteriormente a analizar el significado de la violencia económica, su alcance legislativo a nivel nacional e internacional y fabricaremos un perfil de mujer agredida y agresor, basándonos en las características que mas se suelen repetir en ambos. Al tratarse de un tema sobre el que no hay mucha investigación, finalmente realizamos una serie de entrevistas que nos permitieron dar respuesta a preguntas que quedaban sin responder que nos ayudan a entender el fenómeno en su totalidad.

Gender violence is a phenomenon with which this society coexists but, although it is what we have more information about, it is not only reduced to physical violence; there are more types of violence against women. This Final Degree Project aims to analyze one of these variants, specifically, economic violence, focusing on the sector of women over 65 who suffer violence in a different way from others due to the environment in which they grew up, the ideas that were instilled in them and how the level of violence to which they have been subjected throughout their lives have evolved, as well as the way in which they can face it. To carry out this analysis, we first address key issues such as the meaning of the concept "gender violence" or violence against older women to later enter to analyze the meaning of economic violence, its legislative scope at the national and international level and we will manufacture a profile of assaulted and aggressor woman, based on the characteristics that are most often repeated in both. Being a topic on which there is not much research, we finally conducted a series of interviews that allowed us to answer questions that remained unanswered that help us understand the phenomenon in its entirety.
