El fenómeno del abuso sexual infantil (ASI) : las fallas del sistema judicial y la intervención en el trauma con EMDR

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata sobre el fenómeno del abuso sexual infantil, habiéndose realizado mediante una revisión bibliográfica con este propósito. En primer lugar, tratamos los diversos tipos de maltrato relacionados con el abuso sexual infantil. Tras esto, nos centramos en el abuso sexual infantil, exponiendo aspectos fundamentales: definición y características, perfiles, factores de riesgo, indicadores, posibles consecuencias, modelos explicativos, etc. . Posteriormente, abordamos las diversas fallas presentes en el sistema judicial español a la hora de intervenir , así como los fallos de otras instituciones, profesionales y padres en los casos de abuso. Además, planteamos diversas soluciones para erradicar estos problemas, con el objetivo de proteger al menor. Por último, se realiza un abordaje de la intervención terapéutica con EMDR en menores víctimas de abuso sexual, un método novedoso recomendado para la intervención en el trauma, e idóneo para el tratamiento del Trastorno de Estrés Postraumático (TEPT), siendo por tanto un método eficaz a la hora de procesar la información relativa al evento traumático y que ha generado diversas sintomatologías.

The present work deals with the phenomenon of child sexual abuse, having been carried out by means of a bibliographic review for this purpose. First, we deal with the different types of maltreatment related to child sexual abuse. After this, we focus on child sexual abuse, exposing fundamental aspects: definition and characteristics, profiles, risk factors, indicators, possible consequences, explanatory models, etc. Subsequently, we address the various failures present in the Spanish judicial system when intervening, as well as the failures of other institutions, professionals and parents in cases of abuse. In addition, we propose various solutions to eradicate these problems, with the aim of protecting the child. Finally, we approach the therapeutic intervention with EMDR in children’s victims of sexual abuse, a novel method recommended for the intervention in trauma, and suitable for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), being therefore an effective method when processing the information related to the traumatic event and that has generated various symptomatology.
