Abuso sexual contra menores y el procedimiento a seguir ante la notificación del mismo

Abstract

El abuso sexual a menores es aquella interacción que establece un adulto con un menor con el fin de obtener placer sexual sin el consentimiento de este último. Se trata de un tema no entiende de culturas, religiones y clases sociales; se da en niños y adolescentes de todo el mundo y, a pesar de ello sigue siendo un tema tabú y bastante invisibilizado. Como consecuencia de esto, el objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una síntesis sobre el abuso sexual a menores. En él se incluirá una descripción de lo que se entiende como abuso sexual a menores y sus características principales, así como el perfil de la víctima y el agresor acompañado de un poco de demografía y estadística. Además, se mencionará el proceso del establecimiento del abuso y la interacción que crea el agresor con el menor. Posteriormente se hablará sobre el protocolo a seguir ante la sospecha y/o notificación de que un menor está siendo abusado sexualmente, a la par que se mencionan las características y objetivos principales que tienen estos procedimientos a seguir.

Child sexual abuse is the interaction that an adult establishes with a minor with the of obtaining sexual pleasure from the underage. It is a subject that doesn’t understand of cultures, religions and social classes; it occurs in children and adolescents all over the world and, in spite of this, it is still a taboo subject and quite invisible. Therefore, and taking this into consideration, the purpose of this academic research is to summarize the sexual abuse of minors. It will include a description of what is understood as child sexual abuse and its main characteristics, as well as the profile of the victim and the aggressor supported by some demographics and statistics. In addition to this, the process of the establishment of the abuse and the interaction that the aggressor establish with the minor will be mentioned too. Subsequently, we will discuss the protocol to be followed in case of suspicion and/or notification of a minor is being sexually abused, as well as the main characteristics and objectives that these procedures have.
