Proyecto de intervención educacional dirigido a la Enfermería para el correcto abordaje del paciente y sus familiares con Cuidados Paliativos

Abstract

Introducción: Los Cuidados Paliativos (CP) conforman un elemento primordial del cuidado integral de aquellos pacientes con patologías crónicas y/o agudas que supongan un riesgo de mortalidad o limiten considerablemente su vida. Con su correcta instauración se alivia la sintomatología, así como el sufrimiento, englobando sus necesidades junto con las de su familia, formando así una única unidad de tratamiento buscando, la mayor confortabilidad y calidad de vida del individuo. Objetivos: La intervención educacional dirigida a profesionales sanitarios tiene la finalidad de proporcionar las competencias necesarias en el ámbito de los CP. Con su adquisición y mediante el uso de herramientas específicas en la esfera emocional, comunicativa y cognitiva, el profesional podrá llevar a cabo un correcto abordaje integral del paciente basado en el cuidado total. Metodología y recursos: La presentación de los contenidos se realizará a través del aprendizaje significativo, mediante el cual se produce una consolidación de los conocimientos previos con una información más minuciosa. Se produce al englobar la esfera cognitiva, emocional y de habilidad mediante la introducción de dinámicas participativas y la representación visual. Los contenidos se dictarán en dos grupos de veinte participantes cada uno, con un total de cinco sesiones, impartiéndose una semanalmente. Evaluación y conclusiones: La evaluación de la intervención se realizará de manera paulatina al finalizar cada sesión, con el propósito de mantener una visión objetiva y crítica en relación con los objetivos planteados y obtenidos. El desarrollo de la intervención educacional basada en los CP dirigida, en concreto, al profesional de enfermería por el rol que desempeñan, previo estudio de las necesidades y entorno que lo rodean, sirve para evidenciar la notoria mejoría en la asistencia integral tanto de los pacientes que reciben CP como de su entorno familiar más próximo.

Introduction: The Palliative Care defines an essential element of the comprehensive caring of those patients with long term chronic conditions or severe pathologies, which cause a risk of mortality or considerably limit their life expectancy. With a correct establishment, it will relieve the symptomology, as well as the suffer, comprehending their needs with those of your family, making just one treatment unit which will seek, the highest quality in terms of comfort and lifestyle of the individual. Objectives: The educational intervention’s focused on health professional workers provide the needed skills in the field of The Palliative Care. With the acquisition and using specific tools in the emotional field, communicative and cognitive, the professional will be able to deliver an appropriate induction of the patient based on the total care. Methodology and resources: the delivery of the contents will be through the significative learning, which will be produced a consolidation of the previous gained knowledge with a more detailed information. This is achieved encompassing cognitive, emotional and ability fields introducing the dynamic of participation and visual representation. The contents will be dictated in two groups of 20 people each, within 5 sessions, being delivered one per week. Assessment and conclusions: the assessment of the intervention will be done gradually at the end of each session, with the purpose to keep an objective perspective in relation to the objectives scheduled and achieved. The develop of the educational intervention based on The Palliative Care focusing on nurses for the role that they carry out, previous examination of the patient’s necessities and environment around, they help to prove the obvious improvement in the in the whole assistance either for patients who receive The Palliative Care as for their closest family environment.
