Sistemas políticos comparados, clientelismo y desigualdad : estudio de casos entre el Gobierno de Lula en Brasil y Sebastián Piñera en Chile.

Abstract

Por medio del presente trabajo se pretende analizar del fenómeno del clientelismo, una práctica política común en los sistemas presidenciales encontrados en América Latina, y su relación con la desigualdad. Para ello, un análisis exhaustivo de las fuentes que conforman el estudio de esta práctica política será llevado a cabo, así como una investigación del impacto que tiene en la desigualdad. Asimismo, los casos de estudio que serán utilizados como ejes de este trabajo serán, por una parte, el gobierno de Lula da Silva en Brasil y, por otra, el gobierno de Sebastián Piñera. Por lo tanto, se tratará de determinar la eventual naturaleza clientelista de estos regímenes y, en caso de que no lo sean, profundizar en otros conceptos propios de la ciencia política que se puedan encuadrar en estas legislaturas. Una vez superada esta fase, se procederá finalmente a establecer los niveles de desigualdad existentes

This paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of clientelism, a common political practice in the presidential systems found in Latin America, and its relationship with inequality. To this end, an exhaustive analysis of the sources that make up the study of this political practice will be carried out, as well as an investigation of its impact on inequality. Likewise, the case studies that will be used as the focus of this work will be, on the one hand, the government of Lula da Silva in Brazil and, on the other, the government of Sebastián Piñera. Therefore, the aim will be to determine the possible clientelist nature of these regimes and, if they are not, to delve into other concepts of political science that can be framed within these legislatures. Once this phase has been completed, we will finally proceed to establish the existing levels of inequality.
