EducARTE en la paz : aprendiendo a librar batallas a través del collage.

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo es una propuesta de innovación educativa que, fundamentalmente, busca promover un cambio en la manera de abordar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la “Educación Plástica y Visual” en muchas escuelas. Su principal objetivo es contribuir a la formación integral del alumnado mediante el diseño de una experiencia de Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP) que utiliza el cuadro del “Guernica” como punto de partida para desarrollar la técnica plástica del collage, una poderosa herramienta de expresión artística que ayudará a los alumnos/as a analizar críticamente la realidad social. Así, a partir de un amplio marco teórico, se ahonda en el origen del collage como parte del movimiento cubista, mostrando al lector sus principales características, su notable evolución a lo largo de la historia y su situación en la actualidad. Igualmente, se analiza la concepción y el planteamiento de la educación artística en el ámbito escolar, proyectándose una necesidad de cambio que entronca con la conceptualización del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos como metodología de enseñanza innovadora y promotora de aprendizajes significativos. Posteriormente, se presenta el proyecto de innovación pedagógica que se dirige, particularmente, a niños/as de sexto curso de Educación Primaria. Concretamente, la propuesta se estructura a lo largo de tres fases claramente diferenciadas: en la primera, se da a conocer el reto que los alumnos/as tendrán que resolver y se definen las distintas líneas de investigación del proyecto; en la segunda, se presentan una serie de actividades para abordar las líneas de investigación antes mencionadas que, en ocasiones, permiten transversalizar la enseñanza con contenidos propios de otras asignaturas y, finalmente, en la tercera, los discentes han de diseñar un collage como producto final y presentarlo públicamente en un contexto solidario. Así, se pretende ofrecer al alumnado un aprendizaje globalizante y desarrollar, entre otros, su pensamiento crítico e imaginación.

The following project presents a proposal for educational innovation that seeks to promote a change in the way of dealing with the teaching-learning process of "Plastic and Visual Education". Its main purpose is to positively contribute to the integral education of students through a Project-Based Learning (PBL) experience that uses the “Guernica” painting as the starting point to learn about the plastic technique of collage, which is a powerful visual tool for the artistic expression that will help children to critically analyse the social context. Thus, on the basis of a broad theoretical framework, the project delves into the origin of collage as part of the cubist movement, showing its main characteristics, its remarkable evolution over time and its current situation. In addition, this work analyses how the art education is conceived and taught in schools, identifying a need for change that is linked to the conceptualization of Project Based Learning as an innovative teaching methodology that promotes meaningful learning. Subsequently, the pedagogical innovation program, specifically aimed at children in the sixth grade of Primary Education, is presented in detail. More concretely, the proposal is structured in three clearly distinguished phases: in the first part, the students will become familiar with the challenge to be solved as well as with the different lines of investigation of the project; in the second part, students will actively participate in several activities to tackle the aforementioned lines of investigation, occasionally allowing cross-curricular teaching with content from other subjects. Finally, in the third part, students will be required to design and publically present a collage for a solidarity occasion. Therefore, the goal is to offer students a globalized learning and to develop, among other things, their critical thinking and imagination.
